The Ontario Tumour Bank (OTB) is a collaboration between the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and leading healthcare institutions in Ontario. Ontario's publicly funded and administered healthcare system provides uniform treatment standards and access to care. This infrastructure permits uniform data collection standards and follow-up schedules for patients.

The OTB was launched with London Health Sciences Centre and the Credit Valley Hospital as inaugural centres. Hamilton Health Sciences, the Ottawa Hospital and Kingston General Hospital have also joined the initative. Additional collection centres are currently being developed across Ontario.

Each collection centre has a team of professionals that work in collaboration with the principal investigator. These specially trained staff include a pathologists' assistant and a clinical research co-ordinator who are committed to the operations of the OTB.
